Fatima

This is what I am learning today: "In spelling out the need to avoid sin, I have not elaborated on some necessary penance. The very first is to do our daily duty — do whatever it takes, while breaking no law of God, to meet the demands of whatever position God has placed us in life. In other words, we must fulfill our obligations to our state in life. This means to be a good mother, a good father, a good child at home, a good student, a good employee, a good employer. It means being honest and just and kind and charitable to those around us, our subjects, our superiors, our peers. And to avoid persons (those who encourage us to sin), places (hangouts, bars, etc., where we meet people who encourage us to sin) or things (magazines, movies, drugs, drinks, television programs) that will cause us to sin."

Yep it's true. I am a procrastinator. When I am "tired" I want to fall asleep I did it too. I watched this video saying that instead of making a mistake and correcting it and making it better a 2nd time, it's better to get it the first time and do everything correctly all the way through. The last spanish test I got was a 69% I was not very happy with that. I am about to get the same grade every single time if I don't work for it. Please. God. Help me get better.

Lesson II - Success is Difficult: It Requires Hard Work

"Significant achievement in anything- athletics, the arts, business, career, politics, personal relationships, school, even hobbies- take a great deal of ongoing commitment, self-discipline, and hard work. There are no easy shortcuts." That is why I have to go all the way through with ANY activity that I am doing so I will get better and better. "Failure- if it becomes a life pattern, occurs mainly because of worry, self-doubt, inattention to detail, and (most important) lack of adequate commitment and action People who are consistently unhappy and unfulfilled often pay little attention to the workings of the world around them. They are distracted from the world of action mainly because they are consumed by worry and self-doubt. Focusing inward on themselves and let the world pass them by. Time passes and nothing gets done. Then, as a result of having done little or nothing to make success happen, they fail by default in making specific accomplishments. If this pattern persists, they fail in life as well. I worry a lot. Sometimes I doubt if my dances and the way I dance is good or not. I don't pay attention to detail, but most of all I am not taking action. I need to become something more. Not just mediocre. "One thing that IS commonplace is mediocrity" "Ongoing achievement in any of life's endeavors can only be attained through action". "World-Class athletes, artists, and musicians reach high levels of achievement only as a result of fanatical practice and refinement of technique. Likewise, the best students put in many long hours developing and refining their study methods". "Of Course hard work alone will not bring success. You must have a certain level of native ability, talent, or aptitude. Finally, you must acquire and use the best tools and techniques" By going to Millenium Dance Complex, I will be taught by the best, top-notch choreographers who teach the best singers, dancers, and actors. By going to XMA I will be taught the best moves and flips. By being around an environment where I can thrive and live I will be motivated to get better and better. I just don't want to be good. I want to be one of the best. YOU ONLY LIVE ONCE. I want to see myself choreographing for a singer in 3 years. I will be 22 at the time. I will make my 20s a time for GOD and a time of excellence and extreme work ethic. Rocky Balboa said, "But until you don't start believing in yourself, you ain't gonna have a life". Lesson NO. 1: There Are No Secrets to Success

"Success is a way of living, not merely a list of accomplishments. It is an attitude manifested in how we live our lives. Accomplishments are little more than visible benchmarks of our progress along the way".

I have many accomplishments, but I am on a roller coaster of success. I need to have a better attitude towards everything I do. Instead of going through the motions I want to give it all I got so I can get better and better and better.

"Therefore, you do not have to become a great achiever in the eyes of society to be success in life. Because of the accidents of birth and circumstance, few of us start out in the same place. Far more important is what we do with the lives we have been given"

I am not the best dancer, singer, or pianist. He gave me the gift of public speaking. All I know is that God gave me these talents and he wants me to use it to the best of my ability. I want to be an instrument of peace and to do God's will. I want to follow his path instead of the path of my own, because I know his way is the best way. I was born in the North and was raised in the South. The opportunities that I would of liked to have as a child were not all there, but GOD wanted me to experience those before I did anything else. He doesn't want to see me lose myself.
"Few of us start out in the same place" Some people started in big cities. I started in a small town. "For more important is what we do with the lives we have been given". I know what I have to do. I have to trust in God. I have to pray. I want to become a better man. The only way to do that is to be consistent with God. If I trust in him, he will make straight all my paths.

The Lord is my shepherd, there is nothing I can do without him.

"Heroes and heroines with a passion for striving and doing are everywhere:
the sacrificing parent, the dedicated worker, the caring teacher, the struggling student. How these people live their lives can serve as an inspiration to us all".

The struggling actor/dancer/musician, the struggling student, and the struggling child of God.

Confidence. Let's change.

Okay so one of the things I struggle with my life is confidence.
Confidence with my dancing and confidence with girls.
So there was this girl that was checking me out in the gym during my hell week. This week consists of full blown out sprints and super sets.

This asian girl, she was decent, but I was still so nervous about talking to her.
First of all, SHE WAS CHECKING ME OUT!
The goal is to talk to the girl, I don't even have to get her phone number or anything. It's for the sake of talking to her and building my confidence.
She was wearing a pink tank top with some sports shorts. She was doing abs and this weird machine that you use your outer hips and your inner thigh muscles.
She went on the treadmill and I went to the one right next to her. FUCK! I didn't say anything.
All I was thinking was maybe these videos will help me and motivate me, but sadly they didn't.
I needed to take action. ANY ACTION would be fine.

Apparently, the girls that I have talked with get nervous when I talk to them too. I guess it is okay to be nervous. Not everyone is perfect, but there is a difference between cowards and the courageous.

I can speak in front of many people, I have performed dances in front of people, I have played piano in front of many people, and I have sang in front of many people. The number one fear in America is PUBLIC SPEAKING. I CAN DO THAT!
I went to Millenium Dance Complex and I embarrassed myself. I knew I wasn't good, but I AM GOING TO GET BETTER AND BETTER! Because I want to be GOOD!

Soo why I am afraid/fearful/nervous to talk to girls? Any girl that I find attractive in fact.
Girls like me...when I feel like I will be stuck in the friend zone. I just feel like they won't except me for who I am. I feel like they won't like me. I feel like they might think I am weird.
I feel like sometimes I am just limiting myself.

Alright. There was this one instance when I was at the food expo. Where Marcus wanted me to talk to these girls and he asked them, "why does he seem so nervous?" to the girls.
One of the cute girls taller than me replied, "I don't know why he is so nervous, he's good looking."

Alright, let's think back in high school. You didn't really have any enemies. You only had people you didn't like only because they seemed unfriendly.
You are very friendly, but that does not mean that you can't take control. You have balls!
If you think back to your accomplishments, not many could have done what you did. Not many are doing what you are doing. So who is the only one that is holding you back?
It's you and your silly beliefs.

Nearly everyone you have met likes you.
Your teacher in comm class has said so. It is apparent in Psychology class where the teacher knows your name.
That one dude patrick approached you.
People miss you at work.
That one cool dude Caleb wants to hang out with you.
Jason wants to dance with you.
Some filipinos want you to choreograph a dance.
A DANCE instructor wants you to help with a dance.

There are so many people that want you to succeed and the only person that's holding you back is you.

GOD HAS PUT THE RIGHT PEOPLE IN YOUR LIFE.
GOD HAS OPENED THE DOOR FOR YOU.
NOW IT IS TIME TO TRUST HIM.

It is time to become fearless.
It is time for you not to hold back anymore.

Most of the time, which is almost all the time people like you.
There is nothing bad to like about you.
You are funny, enthusiastic, you are very talented, good looking, you have GOD, you are the life of the party. That's what usually happens. Everyone knows you. All you have to be is yourself.
There is one thing you can work on and that's assertiveness.

You have everything else going on for you.

Teenagers

Man. Now I know what it feels like when I am late to something. How the other person feels. You are wasting my time.
I was concentrating on choreography this whole day. We missed a practice so I expected everyone to be on task and focus the next day. Nope didn't happen. Wasted my time.
I could be doing something else. I know I am a leader because I directed the group.
How do I get my point across without sounding too harsh?
How do I be assertive? I don't like any conflict but sometimes you need that so people can focus.

Reading Comprehension- Time- The 97-lb Recovery

*I don't own any of these stuff. I have no money so don't sue me. Everything belongs to Time Magazine and Rana Foroohar and Bill Saporito*

"The recovery officially began way back in the middle of 2009, 18 months after the financial system and the American economy-fell apart". Unemployment is still above 8%, we still have a $.7 trillion housing hole to dig ourselves out of, and we're 5.3 million jobs short of full employment."
Because of the unalterable forces of globalization and technology induced job destruction, it will take about 33 more months to restore the jobs lost in 2008 and 2009". This is speeding up a greater range of white collar jobs as software and global broadband connectivity improve".
It costs a lot for Americans to manufacture, but it helps bring more jobs in.
If housing recovers the American economy will truly begin to feel like it's in recovery.

Hunger Games- Time- Comprehension

I haven't read the whole book of the Hunger Games, but all I know is that Josh Hutcherson is in it and that kids kill other kids because of the freakin government. Messed up right?
The Motion Picture Association of America (MPAA) sets standards for movie ratings. What should hunger games get?
The MPAA uses explicit violence, intense sexuality, and raw language for rated R movies. However, Hunger Games does not have any sex but it does have violence. Death by arrows, harpoons, or even It is rated PG-13 for any kid to watch.
Bully however is Rated R because it's use of raw language. The kids insult each other with insults and harsh words in the movie Bully. The main thing to understand is the lesson learned. Hunger Games is set in the future while Bully actually shows what goes on today.
In my opinion I think bully would be a good movie to watch so it will raise the awareness of bullying. It will pose questions like: How serious do we have to take Bullying?

What if...

Today I did not know I couldn't park in this parking lot near the apartments.
I was drinking on the balcony when suddenly I saw this car pull up in front of my car.
It looked like a fat guy driving the car and a dude with this hat was doing something suspicious. I thought they were going to break in or something. Then I said that was my car out loud.
They definitely didn't hear me because before I knew it he fucking bootlegged my car.
I ran downstairs and to ask them what the hell is going on.

When I got to this escalade looking car there was this colossal thing with a flashlight in the driver's seat pointing his blinding flashlight at me. In my mind was like, "Ouch! What the fuck? I can fucking see you asshole!" You have lights in your fucking car!" He was huge alright. His belly extended to the steering wheel. If he wanted to drive with no hands his belly would help him grip the handles. He also had this thick beard. You know? The ones you see lumberjacks where except with 2 necks. He wore a badge around his neck :/ Seems Legit. Right? It was the Premiere Security guard with his buddy wearing a brown under armor hat, a jacket with camouflage in the inside, and in his hands carrying the security lock to bootleg my car...it's not even my car by the way.

Luckily, I had 60 dollars with me and an ATM was walking distance to withdraw $20.
Wow. It really made my night that night. Then I gave it to the fat man and left to find another fucking parking space.

IMAGINATION TIME...What if
Now what they did was park right in front of the car that wasn't supposed to be in the parking lot, so if the owner came out he couldn't escape. The fat guy would stay inside the car because you know...he can't move. He gets his partner to look at the license plate and record it so they can ticket/bootleg the motherfucker.

This could have gone out several different ways:
1)What if I switched my license plate...but that wouldn't workout because they would bootleg me regardless. So what I would do is bootleg my car and bootleg their car *without them knowing* at the same time. So I could negotiate with them.

2) Let them bootleg me. Take out my random pit stop team to remove and replace the tire. And still park there >:D

3) Slash their tires

4) Use some type of diamond cutter to remove the huge metal thing. and write a sticky note that says, "Fuck You! I do what I want!"

5) Somehow move old cars with a towing truck and replace all the available spots with old rusting cars. Then just leave them there. Everytime they move it...just replace it with an old rusting car.

6) Have a security system that sprays pepper spray, tranquilizes, and stabs a stranger who doesn't let a person-who-did-not-know-they-could-park-there get ticketed.

Anyways I am good now. Thank You :D
