Reading Comprehension- Time- The 97-lb Recovery

*I don't own any of these stuff. I have no money so don't sue me. Everything belongs to Time Magazine and Rana Foroohar and Bill Saporito*

"The recovery officially began way back in the middle of 2009, 18 months after the financial system and the American economy-fell apart". Unemployment is still above 8%, we still have a $.7 trillion housing hole to dig ourselves out of, and we're 5.3 million jobs short of full employment."
Because of the unalterable forces of globalization and technology induced job destruction, it will take about 33 more months to restore the jobs lost in 2008 and 2009". This is speeding up a greater range of white collar jobs as software and global broadband connectivity improve".
It costs a lot for Americans to manufacture, but it helps bring more jobs in.
If housing recovers the American economy will truly begin to feel like it's in recovery.
