Lesson NO. 1: There Are No Secrets to Success

"Success is a way of living, not merely a list of accomplishments. It is an attitude manifested in how we live our lives. Accomplishments are little more than visible benchmarks of our progress along the way".

I have many accomplishments, but I am on a roller coaster of success. I need to have a better attitude towards everything I do. Instead of going through the motions I want to give it all I got so I can get better and better and better.

"Therefore, you do not have to become a great achiever in the eyes of society to be success in life. Because of the accidents of birth and circumstance, few of us start out in the same place. Far more important is what we do with the lives we have been given"

I am not the best dancer, singer, or pianist. He gave me the gift of public speaking. All I know is that God gave me these talents and he wants me to use it to the best of my ability. I want to be an instrument of peace and to do God's will. I want to follow his path instead of the path of my own, because I know his way is the best way. I was born in the North and was raised in the South. The opportunities that I would of liked to have as a child were not all there, but GOD wanted me to experience those before I did anything else. He doesn't want to see me lose myself.
"Few of us start out in the same place" Some people started in big cities. I started in a small town. "For more important is what we do with the lives we have been given". I know what I have to do. I have to trust in God. I have to pray. I want to become a better man. The only way to do that is to be consistent with God. If I trust in him, he will make straight all my paths.

The Lord is my shepherd, there is nothing I can do without him.

"Heroes and heroines with a passion for striving and doing are everywhere:
the sacrificing parent, the dedicated worker, the caring teacher, the struggling student. How these people live their lives can serve as an inspiration to us all".

The struggling actor/dancer/musician, the struggling student, and the struggling child of God.
