I haven't read the whole book of the Hunger Games, but all I know is that Josh Hutcherson is in it and that kids kill other kids because of the freakin government. Messed up right?
The Motion Picture Association of America (MPAA) sets standards for movie ratings. What should hunger games get?
The MPAA uses explicit violence, intense sexuality, and raw language for rated R movies. However, Hunger Games does not have any sex but it does have violence. Death by arrows, harpoons, or even It is rated PG-13 for any kid to watch.
Bully however is Rated R because it's use of raw language. The kids insult each other with insults and harsh words in the movie Bully. The main thing to understand is the lesson learned. Hunger Games is set in the future while Bully actually shows what goes on today.
In my opinion I think bully would be a good movie to watch so it will raise the awareness of bullying. It will pose questions like: How serious do we have to take Bullying?
